Our outfield has stepped up big in our recent games. A few changes were made that seem to be paying dividends now as we march on to the championship. Great job guys and girls.

Playoffs

The playoffs have begun. The Waste won its first game 13-3 against the Cretins. The second game didn't prove to be so lucky with us losing 16-12. It was a valiant effort, but we came up a little short.

Yesterday's Defense

Great defense yesterday after a little slow start. We only gave at most 2 runs in any inning after the first. We need to work on getting the ball in on the short hits to outfield to prevent the runners from advancing as well as some of our throws in the infield, but this will come. It is still very early in the season leaving us with some time to experiment.

The pitching by Paul Y. and Ricky B. was excellent. It is a good combination and I like having the ability to go to either depending on the situation.

6/14 Game vs. Standard Errors

Hi Waste,

I will start to publish more information on our blog to make the entire free world jealous of our team. Great game yesterday with a 19-12 victory.

I would like to start off by congratulating our three MVPs. The first is Tom "Ron Burgandy" Nelson who went 3-3 at the plate and played stellar defense in right-center field. Tom drove in several runs in his first at bat of the season helping to extend our run in the 4th inning. Our second MVP is Ricky B. Ricky pitched 6 excellent innings and went 2-3 from the plate. Our final MVP is Peter G. Peter's defense at third base is outstanding. I swear his glove must be bigger than mine because he does not miss a ball. I am enamored with his defense.

Our next game is Wednesday, 6/20 at 5:30. I hope to see you out there.

hey all-incase you're checking this and not your email, please plan to come out for dinner and drinks after the game on thursday. we're trying to find a good location--andrew dart is helping me--so keep an eye out for the info tomorrow.

Just a reminder that we have a game this Thursday @ 5:30. We play the Standard Errors. This team should not be taken lightly. They have a lot of talent and are eager for their first win of the year. I hope to see everyone out there.
